Design Future

Exploration of Augmented Reality

Typography has evolved from a purely functional tool into an expressive art form. Through design choices, tone and meaning can shift, allowing for multiple interpretations of the same message. As designers, our work reflects our values and perspectives. Design is not only visual—it’s a powerful tool for communication, influence, and social change.

This poster uses Arial, a typeface designed in 1982 by Robin Nicholas and Patricia Saunders for Monotype. I chose Arial to acknowledge the often-overlooked contributions of women in design. Although women make up the majority of the design field, they remain underrepresented in leadership and recognition. In today’s regressive political climate, the push for representation and inclusivity is more urgent than ever. This AR poster aims to highlight that urgency.

The future of graphic design must reflect the full diversity of voices—inclusive, intersectional, and visible.
